Daniel Fleury

Mr. Dan Fleury has over 30 years of experience in construction technology and project management in the municipal and federal construction environment including providing deputy inspection and materials testing and inspection services.

Mr. Fleury has extensive experience in management of testing services including: observation and testing of soil and rock materials during construction of various school, residential subdivision, commercial, utility, and roadway projects.

He oversees all phases of fieldtesting and sampling of soil and rock, performs field and laboratory materials testing for verification and acceptance criteria, records the daily events and progress, and maintains a professional working relationship with all involved parties.

As President, Mr. Fleury will be responsible for contract management, budget control, and scheduling / coordination of field testing / inspection services for the project.

Senior Engineering Technician/Inspector

Arumugam (Alva) Alvappillai

Mr. Alvappilai manages and works on various geotechnical engineering projects in southern California. He also has experience in structural analysis and design, particularly in the area of foundation engineering.

Alva’s primary responsibilities include project management, planning of field investigations, analytical and computer analysis of a wide range of projects, budget management, and report writing.

Geotechnical experience includes projects related to settlement and expansive soils, foundation engineering, slope stability, landslide and earthquake engineering. 

He has experience and knowledge of the latest computer methods of analyzing complex problems using numerical methods. He also designs various structural systems such as mat slab and pile foundations and tieback systems for slope stability.

Mr. Alvappillai was selected as Principal Geotechnical Engineer due to his reputation for excellence in the geotechnical industry with public agency contracts and continuance of excellent service to municipal Public Works Engineers and Planning Managers.

As Principal Geotechnical Engineer, Alva is responsible for contract management and technical peer review/quality assurance of field testing/inspection services for the project.

Chief Engineering Geologist / Hydrogeologist

Ms. Cathrene Glick

Ms. Glick has over 30 years of experience in project planning, geotechnical engineering, and construction support.

Ms. Glick has been responsible for the management and execution of geologic, geotechnical engineering, and hydrogeologic investigations throughout the Western United States for residential, educational,

commercial, industrial, municipal, and Federal design and construction projects. Specific projects have included foundation and paving designs, rock excavation shoring evaluations, construction dewatering, hillside dewatering, landslide stabilization, and earthen buttress construction for commercial and residential properties. Ms. Glick has also provided extensive construction management support with materials testing and inspection for cut/cover, jack/bore, and tunnel machine construction applications and flexible and rigid pavement placement.

Ms. Glick is a key Project Manager due to her reputation for excellence in the geotechnical industry and her depth of experience with municipal contracts and continuance of excellent service to municipal Public Works Engineers, Facility Managers, Planning Managers, and City Council Members.

Ms. Glick is responsible for municipal and agency on-call service contracts managing individual task-order assignments and scheduling / coordination of field testing / inspection services for the project.

Field Service Manager / Chief Inspector

Mr. Bob Jones

Mr. Bob Jones will serve as the Field Service Manager for this contract. Mr. Jones has over 20 years of experience in geotechnical engineering materials testing and inspection services, and construction field service support.

Mr. Jones has extensive experience in observation and testing of soil and rock materials during construction of various school, residential subdivision, commercial, utility, and roadway projects.

He performs all phases of fieldtesting and sampling of soil and rock, performs field and laboratory materials testing for verification and acceptance criteria, records the daily events and progress, and maintains a professional working relationship with all involved parties. 

In addition, Mr. Jones provides batch-plant inspection of concrete production facilities (including aggregate sampling, moisture content, unit weight calculations) and field inspection during placement (including making concrete cylinders, performing slump tests, performing entrained air test, and unit weight calculations).

As Field Service Manager, Mr. Jones will be responsible for scheduling / coordination of field testing / inspection services for the project.  Mr. Jones is also the primary inspector for this project.

Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Mr. Sergio Vargas

Mr. Sergio Vargas will serve as the Senior Engineering Technician for this contract. Mr. Vargas has over 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering materials testing and inspection services, and construction field service support.

Mr. Vargas has extensive experience in observation and testing of soil and rock materials during construction of various school, residential subdivision, commercial, utility, and roadway projects.

He performs all phases of fieldtesting and sampling of soil and rock, performs field and laboratory materials testing for verification and acceptance criteria, records the daily events and progress, and maintains a professional working relationship with all involved parties.
